When you hire a plumber, you deserve to know the work will last. Every job I complete is backed by our Lifetime Labour Guarantee, if my workmanship ever fails, I’ll come back and fix it at no extra cost. No time limit. No fine print. That’s a promise I’ve kept since TrueFlow Plumbing started in 2018, and it’s one I’m proud to stand behind for every customer on the Central Coast.

On top of my labour guarantee, every product and fixture I install comes with the manufacturer’s warranty, and you’re protected by automatic consumer guarantees under Australian law. This page explains exactly what’s covered, so you can make a confident decision knowing your plumbing investment is fully protected.

Lifetime Labour Guarantee

My Lifetime Labour Guarantee covers the workmanship on every plumbing job I complete, from a simple tap repair to a full hot water system installation. If my work ever develops a fault due to how it was installed, I’ll return and rectify it at no charge to you. There’s no expiry date on this guarantee.

This isn’t something I offer to sound impressive on a website. It’s how I hold myself accountable. When I finish a job, I want you to feel calm knowing it’s done properly, not wondering whether the repair will hold up next month. That peace of mind is the whole point.

What the Lifetime Labour Guarantee Covers

The guarantee applies to the labour and workmanship on all plumbing services I provide, including blocked drain clearing, pipe repairs and replacements, tap and mixer installations and repairs, toilet repairs and installations, hot water system installations, gas fitting and gas appliance connections, water filter installations, and roof plumbing including gutters, downpipes, and flashing.

If a joint I’ve soldered starts leaking, a fitting I’ve installed comes loose, or any aspect of my workmanship fails under normal use, I’ll come back and fix it. That’s the deal.

What It Doesn’t Cover

To be upfront and transparent, there are situations the labour guarantee doesn’t apply to. These include product or component failures that fall under the manufacturer’s warranty (such as a hot water system element burning out), damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, or third-party interference with the plumbing work, normal wear and tear on consumable parts like tap washers and O-rings, blockages caused by foreign objects, tree root intrusion, or changes in usage patterns after the original job, and issues arising from pre-existing conditions that were identified and communicated at the time of service.

I’ll always be honest with you about what’s covered and what isn’t. If something goes wrong and it turns out to be a product issue rather than workmanship, I’ll help you navigate the manufacturer’s warranty process so you’re not left on your own.

Manufacturer Warranties on Products We Install

When I install a new product in your home, whether that’s a hot water system, water filter, gas appliance, or fixture, it comes with the manufacturer’s warranty. I only install quality products from reputable Australian and international brands, and I’ll make sure you receive all the warranty documentation for your records.

Hot Water Systems

I install and service hot water systems from Rinnai, Rheem, Bosch, and Thermann. Manufacturer warranties on hot water systems typically range from 5 to 12 years on the cylinder or heat exchanger, depending on the brand and model. Components like thermostats, elements, and valves usually carry shorter warranty periods. I’ll walk you through the specific warranty for your unit at the time of installation, so you know exactly what’s covered and for how long.

Water Filters

Water filtration systems I install come with manufacturer warranties that vary by brand and system type. Warranty periods typically range from 1 to 5 years on the filter housing and system components. Replacement filter cartridges are consumable items and aren’t covered by warranty, but I’ll advise you on the recommended replacement schedule for your specific system.

Tapware, Fixtures, and Fittings

Quality tapware and fixtures from brands like Caroma and Clark carry manufacturer warranties that typically range from 5 to 15 years. All tapware and fixtures I install carry the WaterMark certification required under Australian plumbing standards, if it doesn’t have the WaterMark, I won’t install it.

Gas Appliances

Gas appliances including cooktops, heaters, and hot water systems come with manufacturer warranties that vary by product. All gas fitting work I complete is done to current Australian Standards and NSW gas regulations, and I provide a compliance certificate for every gas installation. If a gas appliance develops a fault during its warranty period, contact the manufacturer directly or call me and I’ll help you arrange the warranty claim.

Your Rights Under Australian Law

In addition to my Lifetime Labour Guarantee and manufacturer warranties, you’re automatically protected by consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law and statutory warranties under the NSW Home Building Act 1989. These are legal protections that apply to every plumbing job, regardless of what’s written in any contract.

Australian Consumer Law Guarantees

Under the Australian Consumer Law, services must be provided with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose you’ve made known, and be supplied within a reasonable time. Products must be of acceptable quality, match their description, and be fit for purpose. These consumer guarantees apply automatically to all plumbing services and products, and they can’t be excluded or limited by any agreement.

NSW Home Building Act Statutory Warranties

As a licenced plumber in New South Wales (Licence No. 457032C), I’m bound by the statutory warranties in the Home Building Act 1989. These warranties state that all work will be done with due care and skill and in accordance with plans and specifications, all materials supplied will be good, suitable for purpose, and new (unless otherwise agreed), all work will comply with the Home Building Act and relevant Australian Standards, and work will be completed with due diligence and within a reasonable time.

These statutory warranties are enforceable for 6 years from completion for major defects and 2 years from completion for all other defects. They apply automatically to all residential plumbing work performed in NSW, and they cannot be excluded by any contract.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you experience an issue with any work I’ve completed, the first step is always to call me directly on 0411 438 760. I’ll arrange to come and inspect the issue promptly, and if it’s covered by my Lifetime Labour Guarantee, I’ll rectify it at no cost.

For product faults covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, I can help you contact the manufacturer and coordinate the warranty claim process. You don’t need to navigate that on your own.

If for any reason you’re unable to resolve a warranty issue directly with me, NSW Fair Trading provides a free complaint handling service for residential building and specialist trade work, including plumbing. You can contact them on 13 32 20 or visit the NSW Fair Trading website.

Why I Offer a Lifetime Guarantee

I started TrueFlow Plumbing in 2018 because I wanted to do plumbing the right way, properly, honestly, and with genuine care for the people whose homes I’m working in. Offering a lifetime guarantee on my labour isn’t a marketing gimmick. It’s a reflection of how I approach every job: use quality materials, do the work properly the first time, and stand behind it for good.

65% of my work comes from word-of-mouth referrals and returning customers. That doesn’t happen unless people trust you to deliver on your promises. The Lifetime Labour Guarantee is how I formalise that trust, it’s my way of saying I’m confident in my work, and if something ever goes wrong, I’ll make it right.

As a Master Plumbers Association accredited business, TrueFlow Plumbing meets the industry’s highest standards for technical competence, ethical conduct, and ongoing professional development. That accreditation, combined with our 5.0 Google rating from over 70 reviews, means you’re choosing a plumber who takes quality and customer satisfaction seriously.
